The What
About
I am a Virtual Assistant. I work with you as solo-professionals and small business owners. I specialize in helping with the back end admin pieces of your business through virtual means so you can take a breath and put your concentration where it’s needed most.

The Inspiration
Not part of a big business atmosphere and the convenience it offers with support services?
I’ve got you. Your skilled admin support is here and convenient!
After serving my country (proud veteran here), and following it up with a long tenure in corporate life, I stepped away from the convenience of having support across the hall or in an office next to me.
But like many of you I knew it was time to venture out into the business world and fly without all the safety nets. As of mid-2021 I am now one of those admin support safety nets.
Today I am having a blast as a Virtual Assistant.
I work with solo-professionals and small business owners. I specialize in helping you with the back end admin pieces of your business, like typing, data entry, and document creation/formatting.
I know that you and others like you are out there and can use many of the skillsets I learned and used through my experiences, and that I can deliver them in a convenient method that brings admin support to you.
My innate curiosity in how things work and the resourcefulness to figure it out lets me keep the complicated at bay for you, while giving you the admin support at your fingertips.
And, as a systems gal with an approach to working smarter not harder as my way of doing business, I extend the same to you.
I’m sure one or some of my services can work for you. It’s just a click to find out!

“Melinda is a delight to work with. She is detail oriented and cheerful. Her creations helped our footing during the early stages for our company”

Some insight into Melinda
I see through an eclectic perspective and then some . . .
Dogs over cats. Definitely!
Layla Roo agrees.
When I disappear for some clarity I can most often be found browsing a home furnishings store -new or used. My happy place whether I buy or not.
Volunteering to be a hugger for the Special Olympics has allowed me to serve and has always held a special place in my heart.
Michelle Obama is the person I would like the most to have a 1 : 1 conversation with over a cobb salad lunch.
From sea to shining sea -I have lived near the biggest bodies of water across the United States for most of my life, beginning with my small home town in Michigan. I share my current zip code that is 2 miles from an Atlantic coast beach with my husband Jim and our Layla Roo.
Laughter and music are must-haves for me. I’ve been known to dance anywhere when a song beat strikes me to. No apologies. I’ve got the music in me!
Not an adrenaline junky but I fell in love with ziplining on a cruise excursion.
Breath out. Lift your feet. Soar.
What matters most.
Values I live and work by:
I’m a fan of good humans.
Doing the right thing towards others and my surroundings is what I practice and so do my target client partners. I appreciate getting to know people through listening, shared experiences, and helping where I can. Laughter and positive energy will lift us to new levels.
Valuing your craft.
You love what you do and you are the keeper of the helm. Value it and let it shine through in your eyes, your words, and your actions. It’s hard to convince others to value what you do if you don’t believe it yourself.
Experience Cultivates mindset.
Some experiences fit well and all offer knowledge and/or opportunities if you choose. I’ve grown so much with this mindset, especially from the experiences that didn’t work out as well. All have brought me here, to this place, to be a proud Veteran and Woman-owned business owner and continuing to be of service.
Practicing open and honest interactions.
Collaborative communication is essential when working with my partner clients and requires a willingness to value one another’s inputs and an openness to see each other’s viewpoints.
Effectiveness first, efficiency will follow.
Choose the tools that make the most sense for your effectiveness. The efficiency will come naturally as long as you are consistent. When it gets done and it’s not done right, it doesn’t matter how fast it was done. I believe in keeping my clients aware of any hiccups and finding solutions to move forward.
Handling things that go wrong with grace.
Guess what? Mistakes happen, and given that I am human I may make some. Please know that any made will be fully unintentional and won’t be repeated. You can use expletives (just not directly targeted or hurtful please) and stomp your feet. All I ask is that after a deep breath you give me the opportunity to correct and make it right..
